Kengal Anjaneya Swamy temple , near Ramanagara 50 kms from Bangalore

Our team happen to visit Ramanagara around 50km from Bangalore. This place is surrounded by rocky hills . The famous bollywood film 'Sholay' was shot here.  This place also houses one of the historical temples  , Kengal Anjaneya Swamy temple , this is on the Mysore Bangalore National highway.

This temple was built during the period of Karnataka's 2nd chief minister , Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah who is also the chief architect behind Vidhana Soudha , the legislature building in Bangalore. This temple is older than 60 years by now.

This temple is open on all days between 7 AM to 7 PM. Tourists from all over the city pour in here to get the blessings of Lord Hanuman also known as Anjaneya (The son of Anjana) . Special poojas are conducted on every Saturdays.

If you are looking for a long drive on a weekend from Bangalore , this is a nice place to hangover with your family. Below are few snaps our team could capture to help you figure out the temple.
